Please see below for two opportunities open to any and all UT students.

Friar Society Fall 2016 Membership Application

The Friar Society is now accepting membership applications for Fall 2016. Since 1911, the Friar Society has recognized students who have made significant contributions to The University of Texas, and is the the oldest honor society at the University.

Applications are available below and are due Friday, October 21st at 5:00pm. If you believe you’ve made significant contributions to UT and its community, we ask that you consider applying. Please submit your application to by the above deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.


Tany Norwood Award Nominations

Applications for the Tany Norwood Award are also live, and we invite you to nominate a staff member or administrator who, in your experience, is deserving of this honor. This annual award recognizes a staff member or an administrator for their outstanding contributions to student life at The University of Texas at Austin. This award was named after Tany Norwood, the Society’s long time advisor and former UT Assistant Dean of Students. This award is presented every Fall semester. The nomination form is available below.
